With every summer that goes and comes it seems that the weather outside is getting hotter every day, but what should we do about our work clothes? Should we wear flip-flops, t-shirts and shorts just because it's too hot? Definitely not! Loose your beachwear and start making your wardrobe for this summer in office wear. Keep it comfortable and chic in the same time without having to worry about looking unprofessional or by dying slowly because of what's outside.
1. Shoes
It's all about comfort in your shoes for the summer, because nothing will make you feel more tired than a pair of killer heels after a busy day at work and the crazy weather outside. If you don't want to wear heels this summer don't worry because you can still look professional with a pair of flats or some Oxford shoes as long as you know how to style them up. Wear them with floral printed dresses or skirts to emphasize you femininity through these masculine shoes.
If you do want to wear some heels in order to look more classy and taller or if that's required at your work than be carefree because wedges will make you feel shoeless yet fabulous in comfortable heels. Mix them with harem pants or carrot ones, with dresses and skirts, rompers, with anything you want.

2. Dresses
Yes, dresses are good for work, but of course we're not talking about nightwear or elegant classy ones, choose to be casual and very fashionable through dresses that come more loosen up in order to keep you away from the heat. Remember not to take yourself a baggy dress that will hide your body, go for belts to accentuate your waist or dresses that have a beautiful shape and puts yourself in value.
In summer season, always buy dresses that leave you room to breathe, choose soft textile materials, maybe silk to give a sense of elegance to your professional appearance, different prints from graphic to abstract or floral and light colors from cream to white or grey, soft pink, blue, yellow or orange, anything is acceptable.

3. Pants and skirts
Not everyone loves to stay an entire day in dresses, for different reasons, some think it's too feminine, others think it's not work material, but it doesn't matter because there are other alternatives to survive this summer at work through good clothes. If you're feeling sexy than choose a summer skirt and add a gorgeous silk blouse along with a pair of amazing sandals, a maxi leather bag and you're good to go.
For those who rather be a bit more masculine, pants are a great idea, but go for cropped pants, baggy ones, large yet with a beautiful shape that still shows that a woman can very well wear a pair of pants without being too boyish.

4. Accessories
For office wear, especially in summer, many accessories are not really needed because it will distract from your appearance in case they are too much and remember that less is more. That's why the must-have accessories for this season are mostly bags, sunglasses and some basic jewels.
For bags choose a good leather one that even if it may cost more you'll know that it's not a one-season item and it will be reusable next year and the one that follows. Also since it's summer, your bag should be light colored and definitely go away from black. Choose grey or cream so it can go well with mostly anything.
Sunglasses are a major essential this season, because it will protect you from the sun which is very important yet it will complete an entire outfit without having to much accessories. Try different shapes from vintage maxi sunglasses to aviator or wayfarers.
