Gianfranco Ferre Spring 2010 Shoes

Gianfranco Ferre is one of the leading personalities in fashion industry, an “architect of fashion”, as he’s been described, due to his experience both in architecture and fashion. After working for Dior, he managed to become himself a brand, nowadays world-wide reputed, whose collections definitely have something to say in every fashion event.
The present Gianfranco Ferre is brand is represented by its two artists, Tommaso Aquilano and Roberto Rimondi, best described their collection for spring/summer 2010 as a “fluid architecture”. The “decorated minimalism” (also their words) best apply not only to the outfits, but in accessories to, as the shoes included in the collection reinterpreted and completed the main line of clothes.
Sculptural heels in scaffolding structures were the main ingredient had in mind when the shoes were designed. With a clear, sharp design, the shoes emphasized the heel with a metallic strip that moved up towards the end of the heel. It looks more like at artifact than a sustainer necessary for the equilibrium.
The geometrical shapes used for the shoes beautifully contrasted with the dreamy, light shady outfits. The leather shoes continued the chromatic story the whole collection – nude, white, ivory, gold and brown. The other details, the buckles and the heels, are gold, giving an imperial air to the collection. All in all, Gianfranco Ferre spring 2010 shoes were clearly highly feminine and stylish.
