Dsquared2 Spring 2010 Shoes

Founded by two very inspired brothers, Dan and Dean Caten, Dsquared2 has become nowadays a reputed brand in the fashion world, being known for their signature looks which include a punk-rock-chic attitude with a fresh, urban style. Among their most famous clients, we find Rihanna, Naomi Campbell, Christina Aguilera, Justin Timberlake, Madonna or Lenny Kravitz. And when it comes to Dsquared2’s latest collection, their spring-summer 2010 line, the best word to describe it would be “outdoors”.
A scene made of wood and the delicate presence of a few tents suggested the atmosphere if this collection. And no collection could be complete without a line of shoes, doesn’t it? As for the Dsquared2 shoes included in the collection – no need to say that they completely matched the outfits (outdoor gear combined with silk, plaid wool blankets, satin, shorts and plastics).
The main “ingredient” concerning the shoes was the gray hiking socks, which looked absolutely great with all the platforms and the shoes made of plastic also included in the line. The high platforms are the common point in every fashion show this season, while the plastic shoes are just a poetic license.
Besides combining almost every pair of shoes with the high socks, one major element regarding the shoes, as well as the outfits, were the colors. And this applied in shoes to, as yellow seems to be the chromatic starlet of Dsquared2 spring 2010 collection. The shoes featured lots and lots of detailing, freshly applied into the design: high platforms, wide straps of leather, buckles, plastic coverings and patent leather.
