Burberry Fall/Winter 2010/2011 Menswear Collection

The luxurious British fashion house, Burberry is well known for their manufacturing clothing, fashion accessories and fragrance, but when it comes to their collections they shine out the best in outerwear. Check out Burberry’s Fall/Winter 2010/2011 menswear collection!

As you know Burberry is definitely an important name in the fashion industry so to take his collections to a higher level Christopher Bailey, Burberry’s Creative Director, puts a major accent on outerwear in the Men’s Wear Fall/Winter 2010/2011 Collection.

The main trends inspired by this collection are: military jackets, denim and chambray shirts, waist belted coats, gold glamorous buttons, pea coats, black and brown leather boots, shirts with big shoulders, cardigans, furry coats and neon colored trench coat.

If you thought that the military inspired jackets were only here for a season, you were very, very wrong. This trend has just only started attacking men’s fashion too and from what we can see, it is here to stay. Of course, Christopher reinvents this trend by designing the military jackets with a little glam touch given by the gold buttons.

The predominant colors he used in the Fall/Winter collection are: the immortal black, different shades of green, dark blue, sophisticated gray, soft cream or chocolate brown.

Remember the Spring/Summer 2010 Burberry’s collection on women’s wear? It was mainly formed of belted trench coats to put in evidence a woman’s waist. Well this season Christopher Bailey belts up the men’s coats too. Of course, he does not have the same reason as he did for the women’s wear, it’s to give a little edge to a simple one-colored trench coat and as you can see, he actually did a great job.

Another huge appearance was made by the winter fur coat. In this collection, the fur coats come in light colors like soft cream or in black, on long coats or short jackets. So what can be more perfect for a winter season for those that live in cold cities than a massive fur coat?
