With a first collection launched back in spring 1998, Billy Reid has made a his own mark over fashion world in time and his appealing for men and women in the same time got him where he is right now. Going from sportswear to prestigious luxury pieces was a big step and now, William “Billy” Reid develops his fashion label with a new collection in every season.
The Fall/Winter 2010/2011 Collection captures a refreshing style that combines together vintage inspiration camouflaged into modern shapes where Billy Reid shows us that masculinity doesn't mean just leather jackets or a rough attitude and stylish pieces can be casual without being all “suited up”.
Using a countryside thematic for this collection, Billy Reid gives a new perspective about styling for men and showing classy pieces through elegant shapes. He goes from formal to casual by taking one step forward and managing to transform clothes into an entire show.
This collection may be inspired by the 1960, but 2010 puts his print on these pieces too. Vintage is back in a while now and seems like for the next season doesn't go anywhere. Bow ties, berets, denim shirts, plaid suits, braces, neck sweaters tucked into suit pants and Oxford shoes, all give us a little refreshing taste of what gentlemen used to be like.
