L’Enfant terrible – the terrible kid, as in the incredibly talented, avant-garde, controversial and visionary designer of the latest century – this is Alexander McQueen. His designs have always managed to stand out, make a statement, and, most important, since he’s a true artist, his designs have always born a certain feeling. That of pure inspiration. The Elvie bag can resemble to another well known McQueen “moment”, the Novak bag, but it actually comes as a fresh design, chic, and full of that je-ne-sais-quoi attitude. And the proof of that is the large number of celebrities who have been spotted wearing it: LeAnn Rimes, Beyonce, Angelina Jolie, Madonna, Kate Moss, and of course, in Sex and The City series.

Made of black patent leather, Alexander McQueen’s Elvie bag is accessorized with short handles also made of leather. The tote has a silver-tone frame and it features a twist clasp, so the access to the inside is easier and more stylish. The zippers aren’t completely gone, as the bag has a small zipper pouch delicately added in the interior. The pleated detailing just make the bag look even better.

This is a modern and urban bag, with perfectly well integrated polished hardware. You can purchase it for $1600, but I’m pretty sure this is going to be one of your major investments this year, as it will accessorize you in a blink of an eye. It comes in flashy colors, a deep courageous red, in purple, or black, depending on your preferences.
