Stella McCartney Spring 2010 Ad Campaign

British designer Stella McCartney chose to put her childhood pet, Lucky in the backdrop of her Spring 2010 ad campaign. The Stella McCartney Spring 2010 campaign also features model Natalia Vodianova wearing a staple piece from the McCarney collection.

British designer Stella McCartney is the the biggest animal rights activist among fashion designers. No wonder she chose to put an old pal in the center of her Spring 2010 ad campaign - Lucky, her childhood pet Dalmatian. The black-and-white backdrop image of the dog was shot by Linda McCartney back in 1976.

“I love the way it’s very graphic and soft at the same time, due to its double exposure,” declared McCartney of her mother’s photo, which is entitled “Lucky, Sussex, 1976.”

The Stella McCartney Spring 2010 ad campaign features model Natalia Vodianova wearing the dress she presented at the Stella McCartney Spring 2010 RTW fashion show.
The ad campaign was shot by Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott and styled by McCartney.

Stella said that the ad campaign wanted to capture “fashion meets reportage, mixing color, and black-and-white. A family animal with an outside atmosphere meets studio lights, camera, action! Opposites meeting in one image, illustrating the masculine and feminine sides of the Stella McCartney brand,” she said.
