Miuccia Prada has a worldwide reputation that couldn’t ever disappoint, as each of her collection states that there’s something about fashion, something magic, modern, controversial, and visionary. Every Prada collection has something special to say, and that’s also the case of the spring 2010 collection.

This is a very readable collection, as no subtexts were inserted on the runway, maybe as a sign that this time Miuccia found another way of expressing her creativity. The show was, as she wanted to be and how she described it, about “how life is today”. While having lots of fun creating the summer 2010 collection, Miuccia released a new face and image for the upcoming season.
A unitary perspective translated itself into models wearing their hair elegantly swept on a side and an intense glossy vermilion shade on the lips. The Baroque color chosen to accessorize the face was in a deep but powerful contrast with the outfits, which mainly came in gray nuances. This “business to beach” representation, as Miuccia described her line, included lots of Bermudas and coats. Like the majority of the items included in the collection, they were also made of or inspired by satin and nylon. The vests and jackets created by Prada come perfectly to complete the vision. The line was simple, yet firm precise, giving a strange sensation of harshness.
Besides the more-than-wearable items in this collection, Prada’s 2010 spring line included tops decorated with silver or crystals, holiday-ish prints applied on short shorts and panties, baby-doll items, all in a fantasist “landscape” created by projections showing both elegant and sumptuous Italian interiors.
