In the Spring/Summer 2011 season, the Italian fashion house, Costume National, leaded by fashion designer Ennio Capasa launches a new collection that doesn’t follow the typical Italian style, yet it embraces through simplicity a magical feeling that evolves during the show, where the fun pop splashes of color take over the runway.
Costume National’s fashion show starts very strong by going for a business chic style expressed in nude sophisticated leather that breaks out of the ordinary, yet comes with the same professional effect. Later on, the styles get more interesting and less complicated. We spotted plain deep V-neck dresses that shine in bold eccentric colors which emphasize the monochromatic theme of the collection, perfect for a modern new business style.
From the chromatic point of view, Costume National’s Spring/Summer 2011 Collection stands taller than in details, where the energic pop colors reinvent summer’s clearness in shapes and fluid textures. What starts in nude creamy shades is taken to extremes through fun bright colors, from electric blue to light sky blue, crazy orange or pretty red. Also, the immortal black makes his presence felt by giving a sense of mystery into the collection embraced with small sheer details that play along.
Ennio Capasa brought up in Costume National’s collection for this season, minimalistic shapes and clean figures that show modern looks in a new different perspective. Even if the simplicity comes to another level here, the color blocking outfits take the collection up and save it from falling into a boring area.
