Alexander McQueen for Puma

Another great and very interesting collaboration has been announced in the world of fashion, that between Alexander McQueen and the famous sportswear brand, Puma. Yes, Alexander McQueen, the British fashion designer well reputed for his controversial designs and runway shows as well, has teamed up with Puma in order to launch on the market a brand new line, including apparel and accessories.

According to the website specially dedicated to this collection, http://alexandermcqueen.puma.com, the main concept of this line is “power”, a metaphoric concept that translates both into the physical and the mental sides of our lives. The concept belongs to McQueen who is responsible for the iconic brand image in collaboration with photographer Nick Knight.

As said before, the collection includes footwear, apparel and accessories. The shoes are inspired by the street-style, mixing fabrics like suedes, sporty meshes and rubber. Rich Italian materials, rubber outsoles, exquisite details, bright and intense colors – these are the details used by designer Alexander McQueen for the shoe line created in collaboration with Puma.

When it comes to the clothes, you should know that the line is dedicated both to men and women. Both the clothes and accessories are inspired by the sports field, and their main common point in the griffin, used as a visual icon throughout the collection. Innovative cuts and spectacular silhouettes contribute to the collection. It includes t-shirts, high waist combat pants, strap short, knitted rugby shirts, jackets, knit tee dresses, all inspired by different sports and designed in the McQueen style.
The accessories featured in the new Alexander McQueen for Puma collection range from griffin belt leather, to holdall bags, to punch bags.

Together with the collection, a footage will be launched too, a short film named “Ghost”, which tells the story of a duel between two athletic models, directed by Saam Faramond. The prices of the items included in this collection will range from $72 to $790, but I’m pretty sure everyone will fall in love with at least a product and will go after it.
