Adidas by Stella McCartney Spring 2010

Stella McCartney's spring 2010 collection was, of course, part of London's Fashion Week, and it was, probably, one of the best looking sportswear lines, which can prove its full functionality for all women out there. No wonder, as Stella McCartney is as talented in fashion as her father was in music.


The set for McCartney's show was perfectly suited for the occasion: fake flamingos cheering up even more the atmosphere, a mini-pool and a plastic raft floating in it, all in a local sports center The guests were all celebrities, including Paul McCartney, Peter Blake, Justin de Villeneuve, and, Debbie Harry.


Stella McCartney's spring 2010 collection included, besides the black swimsuits the models in the water were wearing, lots if very appealing items: long jersey shorts, sheer parkas, hoodies, accessorized with metal shining accents, animal prints, especially zebra. The same zebra print appeared on some leggings. There were also colored Bermudas, lots of T-shirts, and belted jackets.


The light and feminine design signatures transform this collection into a true Stella McCartney line. This is no exactly an easy thing to do when it comes to sportswear, but the designer somehow managed to inject plenty of feminine attitude into it.

She managed that by inserting little details with lots of impact: the swimsuits had some sexy cut-outs; shorts made of jersey were accessorized with waistbands, while the colors molded in soft peaches and some gray.
