Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen Sunglasses

After their cinematographic success due to all their appearances in movies since very young, and after the launch of their very first fashion line (the second one is out to), it seems that Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen can’t stop! As a proof of that, they’re about to launch an eyewear collection, which will became a part of “The Row”, their very own luxury brand which already got them billions of dollars. So, no wonder their popularity keeps raising day by day!
Announced for the spring, the 4 item luxury sunglasses collection already keeps the world curious and wondering. The success is pretty much guaranteed.
“We’re testing the market first and obviously these are four very different silhouettes, so we’re seeing what people are responding to and we’ll open up a couple more silhouettes for fall,” Ashley said and “We tried to find certain pieces that look good on more than one face, to pay close attention to how they fit certain faces and make them wearable at the same time.”
What about the sunglasses? Each of those four pair is inspired by something else; proof a very versatile artistic mind that keeps its possibilities open anytime.
The London based designer Linda Farrow has come up with 4 stylish proposals: one inspired by Mary-Kate herself, a vintage-inspired one, featuring round frames characteristic to the 60’s, a pair of aviator glasses made of metal, a pair of oversized square sunglasses and another vintage inspired one, featuring brow-lines.
Designing sunglasses isn’t, believe me, such an easy thing, and the two famous sisters admitted themselves it was a great challenge. The actresses who turned into fashion designers then turned into footwear designers, have nowadays take the next step: designing sunglasses. Can’t wait for the spring to see them!
